3D MP3 Player
This is a skinnable 3D MP3 player. The back-end engine is a bit
primitive and limited, so I am hoping that any interested parties
would contact me soon.
Those who like to dabble more can check out the skinning
kit. Those who do not can simply download the skins here.
Here are the steps:
- You will need the updated version of the player
(as of 25th March 2003).
- Open up a DOS window (or Command Prompt) and type things like
"player dopi", "player dopi dopi-rusted".
- If you detest commandline, you can instead create a desktop
shortcut for the player, then open up explorer and drag-and-drop
the skins onto the player shortcut.
I know this sucks but I'll probably work something out if there
are enough complains.

This skinning kit contains tools and instructions on how
to modify the look and feel of a Blackbox app, with the player
as an example. For more skins, go here.
(The Full version contains ifl0.dll and core.bbx, the run-time
files needed)

This is a skin included in the skinning kit. It is essentially
the same 3D model as the player, but with some modifications,
such as the back-lit screen, and the responsive buttons.

For fans of the chaser, now you can have a desktop pet that
plays music.
This is to show that skinning need not be constrained to
static shells with buttons attached. The possibilities are
endless.

Yes, this is a totally cool, functional, no-frills, proof-of-concept-only
3D MP3 player. 'nuff said.
Note: the player does not come with any MP3s. You will
have to create a file called "mp3list.txt" and put
in the fully-pathed names of the MP3s you want the player
to play (eg. f:\stash\mp3\sample.mp3)
